The strip inspection line enables reliable visual and dimensional inspection of the strip material during the controlled recoiling process – including the early detection of surface defects, tolerance deviations, and quality irregularities.
By intelligently combining precise recoiling technology with integrated strip inspection, an economical solution for continuous quality control of steel strip and other strip materials is achieved – without additional process steps or separate inspection stations. Quality deviations are detected directly within the ongoing process, documented, and can be marked immediately if required.
Depending on specific requirements, camera-based surface inspection systems, thickness and width measurement systems, automatic marking systems, and digital documentation solutions are implemented. This ensures transparent and traceable quality control within the recoiling line.
The strip inspection system can be realized either as a standalone recoiling unit or as an integrated component of a complete strip processing line. It increases process reliability, provides maximum transparency in strip processing, and supports companies in consistently meeting the highest quality standards.
All lines can be delivered as continuous processing lines which can include strip accumulators, loop pits, strip connectors or belt wrappers. Our in-house developments, such as double coilers and flying cross-cut shears, are additional factors providing a continuous productivity improvement for your strip processing lines.
